What diversity has to teach about innovation

ABSTRACT:
You need to take a lesson in innovation from the legacy of Jane Goodall. Innovation is as much about new ways of thinking as it is about new technology. Better outcomes require tapping into the potential of leadership to think differently about innovation and how lack of diversity limits access to them.

In this recording I look briefly at lessons in diversity inclusion and in the next post (part 2) will look more specifically at how this can translate into opportunity for your business or organization. Here in part 1 think about the need for diversity in knowledge acquisition in situations that increasingly require outside box thinking. In fact, brand risk management innovation requires that businesses interested in growth, sustainability and hope of building/maintaining a legacy brand take note if you intend to lead rather than follow your competitors.
