The Story:
Innovation for Everyone At Imaginatik’s recent Innovation Leader’s Forum in NYC, Rowan Gibson gave a talk on his approach to building an enterprise-wide innovation capability. He mentioned that innovation should be approached methodically. For example, organizations benefit from building innovation into financial compensation goals and annual performance reviews. Most importantly, he stressed that if you ask your employees to be innovative, it’s essential that you support them with the necessary training that enables and expedites innovation.

Often organizations mandate innovation without giving their teams the tools to innovate. If your team members are not clear on the definition of innovation or are not able to generate valuable ideas, you will not be able to sustain organic business growth for the long term.
