  3. Molecular biology - plasmid designs for gene therapy and vaccines
  4. Taught evolution and ecology at college level
  5. Studied error modes in flow cytometry and developed new methods for addressing them
  6. Set up 3 companies and ran an engineering office in Central Asia
  7. Investment diligence in biotech/biomedical - over 20 deals
  8. Design of several diagnostic instrument approaches using luciferase reporting
  9. System architecture
  10. I studied biological effects of nuclear war and power plant accidents
  11. I have written 8 patents and applications.
  12. I solved the reason for poor genetically engineered vaccine virus yields
  13. Application of mathematics to real world problems

Brian Hanley's Problem Solving Experience:

  1. I developed the ISO interbank certification test system for Mastercard.
  2. I developed strategies for countering warlords as described in: Understanding and Countering the Motives and Methods of Warlords - Chapter 16, in Countering Terrorism and Insurgency in the 21st Century. Edited by J.F. Forest, 3 Volumes. Westport, CT: Praeger Security International, 2007

Chapter written at the invitation of West Point.
  3. I renegotiated contract with Ford to double the billing.
  4. I designed and delivered the first of its kind plant-wide factory automation system for a Ford auto plant.
  5. I proposed and developed a debugging system for the Cool:Plex CASE software. This software generated code in three languages on three different platforms.
  6. I performed market and technology diligence for an investor group on over 25 deals.
  7. Established a greenfield engineering office in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia which I ran for 5 years and coordinated work with the US.
  8. Developed a relative risk assessment of nuclear versus biological events for Senator Lugar's office at their request.
  9. Identified problems with poor production yields of alpha-virus based genetically engineered vaccine vectors, and a solution for the problems for one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world.
  10. I developed the Epiflex epidemic modeling system.
  11. I developed and ran an advanced bioweapons workshop.
  12. I developed & patented flow cytometry assay method to address error modes I identified.
  13. I developed a gene therapy for a specific treatment and associated delivery vehicle and protocol.
