John Martin's Problem Solving Experience:
- Consultant for the State of California to various local agencies on personnel matters. Conducted some 20 studies for various local agencies in California
- Work for various political candidates on local, state and national campaigns. Effective in achieving short term goals with limited resources.
- Developed and taught health education courses at Stanford University that were the most popular courses there. Identified helath needs of students.
- Developed health education curriculum for children in the primary grades in the Soviet Union/Russia. This program eventually was implement in 55 cities and over 3,000 schools.
- Implemented health education program for children in middle schools in Belarus. Conducted study to show effectiveness of this program compared to existing education.
- Taught English as a second language in Russia, Belarus and China, teaching in five universities.
- Developed literacy evaluation system for schools in Afganistan.
- Developed education program in India which was implemented in 24 schools.
- Currently developing education program in China with UNESCO for disadvantaged children in rural areas.
- Tutor and advice students who want to study in western universities. Help them prepare for tests and complete applications.
