Joseph Pruitt
I have been involved in countless problem solving and brainstorming sessions with a large variety of companies from consumer products to the medical industry. I have yet to deliver something that was not highly valued.

Areas Joseph Pruitt is Knowledgeable in:

Consumer Product Design, Manufacturing, Prototyping, Medical Products, Military Products, Engineering Analysis, Human Interaction, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering.

Techniques Joseph Pruitt Uses:

1. Assumption Validation - List all assumptions around the problem and then challenge the validity of each. This can lead to many out of the box solutions.

2. Ask why.

3. Break the problem down into manageable components. Tackle each independently and then recompile and assess.

4. Association. Tie the current problem to other solutions in different fields. Bridge the gap with parallels.

5. Metaphore. Look at a completly unrelated situation and solution and apply that situation to the current problem.

Joseph Pruitt's Problem Solving Skills:

Joseph Pruitt's Problem Solving Experience:

  1. I developed a mass manufacturable bottle for the beverage industry that provides insulation at no additional manufacturing cost and no additional manufacturing equipment than what is standard to industry. The bottle keeps the beverage colder up to 200% longer than a standard plastic bottle and is considered the most eco-friendly insulating bottle on the market. It is currently under market evaluation by one of the world’s largest beverage companies.
  2. I led the design and development of an implantable interbody device for the medical industry that slows lower back deterioration of the vertebrae. The device has been under development for the past year and is currently undergoing 510(k) approval and preliminary mass manufacturing sterilization and packaging analysis.
  3. I led the design and development of a consumer product for the footwear industry that required a very specific mass manufacturing price point while maintaining consumer appeal and human interface ergonomic considerations. The design came in under budget and over impressed the client. The product will be in over 500 stores across the US by the end of this year.
  4. I engineered a production run of cast aluminum parts for use in the Hummer for weapons controls for a branch of the military. I had less than 16 weeks to lead a team to fully design and deliver 60 sets of control systems that met MIL SPEC and we delivered on time and under budget. The innovation was in the manufacturing technique and quality control systems set up that we used to ensure the product hit requirements while being delivered on time.
  5. I have designed, engineered and developed countless other products for the consumer, military and medical markets and continue to do so on a daily basis. My experience ranges from work with Fortune 500 companies all of the way down to entrepreneurs and inventors.
