I have been a problem solver and teacher at Daimler, Chrysler, McLaren, Mercedes Benz and almost 100 suppliers to these companies, for over 10 years. If it can go wrong with a car, truck or bus, I have probably seen it. I have learned a simple truth. Most problems come from not managing the Energy flow through a system. Energy that is not accounted for in the earliset design phases, has a twisted way over slipping in to cause problems of all sorts in the development and production phases. A simple energy map and a complete accounting of all energy sources, will provide more benefit than almost any tool, no matter how elaborate or complex. Simplicity is reliability.

  2. Designed and patented new gas-liquid seal that depends on material properties for burst pressure. New seal allows Fuel cell car in development 30% more range by increasing fuel pressure to aluminum limit.
  3. Created test plan for failure prevention in Kinetic Energy Recovery System debuting in 2009 McLaren F1 racer
  4. Patented system of problem solving combining six sigma techniques with Shainin techniques and Critical Thinking techniques
