- while studying greenhouse gas emission methodologies across the EU, I noticed by analysis of the various country approaches that the North adopted bottom-up approach, while the South adopted a top-down approach. In the final report this finding was quite relevant for the design of an EU-wide ghg emission inventory system.
- I identified a unique low-level sulphur detector that could identify sub-ppm (ppb) levels of sulphur compounds in refinery solvent streams that were causing an odor problem. The impurities were identified (mercaptans) and selectively removed by catalysis (active-carbon)
