Problem Solver

Kuba Rebisz

My abilities are not limited to what have been mentioned. I have a huge range of interests due to my insatiable curiosity. Even though I am formally schooled and have experience in only a subset of these interests, my knowledge is substantial in most of the above-mentioned fields. I am a highly creative individual who wishes to be a problem solver for precisely the reason to be able to utilise as many of these skills as possible, and being enriched by the experience.

Areas Kuba Rebisz is Knowledgeable in:

Industrial design, Conceptual art, Bio-Computing, Computer graphics, Chaos Theory, Abstract Mathematics, Psychology

Techniques Kuba Rebisz Uses:

Brain storming, eliciting requirements and modelling a solution space, image streaming, googling-it, trial and error, lateral thinking, consultations, abstraction and experimentation

Kuba Rebisz's Problem Solving Skills:

  1. Programming (Visual C++, Java, Perl)
  2. Algorithms, operating systems, data structures, various other IT related skills
  3. Sales, Marketing, project planning, economical & investment knowledge
  4. Mathematics: Analysis, Group Theory, Differential equations, Calculus, Number Theory...
  5. Design and design methodologies
  6. Human behavioural studies, philosophy, anthropology

Kuba Rebisz's Problem Solving Experience:

  1. I was part of a team of systems engineers and architects which was responsible for designing and implementing a more robust system for handling spam and dictionary attacks made against our mail servers. I helped come up with and implement the final solution.
  2. As a solution to a scheduling problem, I used Computer Aided Drawing to calculate approximate distances from an airport map. The distances were used to give us a heuristic that allowed the software we were designing, to give time approximations for different activities dependent on relative distance
  3. Helped put together a game development team and, factoring in our manpower limitations, assigned roles based on each members strengths and interests. The project has been running for a year and a half now, and we have a storyboard and settled on the technology that we shall be using for the implementation phase
  4. Small house projects and random get togethers with friends for recreational creative projects, involving digital media, stop-motion photography, random physical objects, etc.. ;-)
