    • Applied surface plasmon resonance technique to evaluate the binding of hydrophobic ligands to human serum albumin.

    • Studied the molecular determinant in human α-defensin biological function. An in vitro study to design an antimicrobial therapeutic peptide.

    • Identified the Salt Bridge and its critical role in the stability of human α-defensins.

    • Examined the role of cationic residues for the biological activity of human α-defensin 5.

    • Synthesized and characterized crotamine, a toxin present in the venom of the South American rattlesnake.
