Areas Nazish Nasim is Knowledgeable in:

Business, Marketing, Interpersonal relationships, Telecommunications and Finance.

Techniques Nazish Nasim Uses:

Step 1 - Search : I ask everyone to make an individual search on their behalf; search for what individuals/companies did who were faced with a similar problem; this brings them out of their 'own nutshell' and welcome to face criticism for their 'own' ideas.
Step 2 : Brainstorm : Jotting down everyone's ideas.
Step 3 : Attack the problem at hand; drawing a flowchart to determine cause and effect relationships along with identifying co-relational variables
Step 4 :Applying all the solutions jotted down during brainstorming to the flowchart to determine if applying that solution does/does not (negatively/positively) effect other variables.
Step 5 : Selecting final solutions through the 'Objective' Step 4 analysis; those solution who not only solve the problem very well but also do not negatively effect any other variables
Step 6 : Based upon the finalist solutions ask for a vote
Step 7 : The consensus results in one final solution based upon what the majority approves of.

Nazish Nasim's Problem Solving Experience:

  1. Making a succinct 'sales proposal' for the sales team in MS PowerPoint in place of the long MS Word proposal; the .ppt proposal contained a lot of information but in sententious form and smartly presented. This won loads of appreciation from our client base.
  2. Most people in my office were afraid of 'public speaking'. I took the challenge upon myself; first, I gave them a presentation on how to improve their presentation skills then I arranged a weekly round where a random person has through a ballet round has to present infront of the whole office staff , also offices which are geographically dispersed join us through 'video conferencing'. This solution has multiplied confidence of everyone in the company , contributing towards both their personal and professional lives.
  3. I was involved in making brochure for a B2B company. Though the company heads were a little old fashioned and wanted to go with the traditional brochure making ideas of 'get straight to the point and be done with it' approach while making brochures; I convinced them to do otherwise.
The completely new brochure idea that I gave was new to not only the company but also to the 'Telecommunication Industry' in which they were operating - I told them that we would have to start the brochure with an attention grabbing statement, followed by requirements of the industry for an ideal player and then fitting the company's characteristics into the previous two domains. The big-guns were a little apprehensive but gave in at the end. When the brochures got printed and finally distributed the failing company in terms of ROI and reducing customer base experienced a significant boost and what else... I got the much deserved promotion!
  4. Making 5 Network diagrams for my company that operates in Broadband Industry that included network diagrams of our upstream partners, domestic long haul partners and last mile partners. I made the diagrams in CoralDraw and SmartDraw; the diagrams included networks of Verizon, TIS, SingTel, Mobilink, EMIX etc. This won loads of appreciation from our client base for the marketing department and our professional standing improved loads in the industry too.
