Techniques Syahrizal Salleh Uses:

Efficiency in term of cost mostly. Integrated circuit is very expensive, especially in RF. I have designed a very small full receive RF IC on CMOS. CMOS is much cheaper process than SiGe or GaAs. To further cut cost, I designed LNA with matching size to the full receive chain. The full receive chain alone will work at one resonance frequency, stacking the other LNA change the resonance frequency of the whole receive chain.

Networking. For the third entry in the problem solving experience, I looked around for partners and ended up they charge from $35k to $120k for the exercise. Finally a new friend introduce me to his friend that does the whole exercise and pay us for the work we done. Amazing

  1. I designed efficient antenna coil for the purpose of wireless power transfer with efficiency of approximately 60%
  2. I am building a strategy for my employee to monetize patents in their portfolio with the help of external partners.
  3. I designed a single Radio Frequency receive chain using CMOS process with size approximately 0.8mm x 1.2mm. I also designed a single LNA at different frequency than the one on the full receive chain. The single LNA was stacked onto the full receive chain, resulting in a full receive chain at resonance frequency of the second LNA.
