Brian Forster's Problem Solving Experience:

  1. I was asked to solve a problem for mapping in the wet from the air for surveying roads in the rain. I resolved the problem potentially able to work in depths from a few mm to a cpl of metres. Using my idea of Virtual transmitters and receivers. It turned out I had miss interpret the meaning of wet, my solution was considered flooding and we could not get funding, joint venture with Plymouth University (UK)
  2. I have my own business helping inventors solve technical problems with there designs, and or making there prototypes. There are always things need resolving and my engineering skills, as well as problem solving skills come in usefull
  3. I modified a Prism coupling tester so by using a second prism and index oil the light losses in silicone substrates could be better measured, I found by employing a light splitter, 2 detectors and an Op amp circuit the results sat perfectly on a straight line instead of scattered leaving the best guess line as the alternative.
  4. i designed a multiple tester, with an intelligent harness, so by changing any two units and or connectors a fault could be pinpointed to either the harness, tester or unit under test.
