Christine Hernandez's Problem Solving Experience:

1. California was lacking an accurate list within all counties of all available resources to residents. Finding help in time of need, used to be a game of circle running. Being new to a community usually meant missing out on available resources.I was part of a team that researched communities to create www.211.org or dialing 211 in the state of California. It a directory of the community and services available.
2. Chartered city public transportation and school buses in the event of a needed evacuation. For elderly, disabled and underprivileged persons as well as for persons who do not have access to transportation and persons living in less populated areas such as California Valley.
3. Found volunteers then created a database of Farms/Ranches/Property Owners who would be willing to take in other Farms/Ranches livestock during an evacuation in and around San Luis Obispo county.
4. I was able to take 5 people (all rookies, 3 who had never played music live), create a music band, and have them in front of 50,000 people in less than a year. Keeping the band #1 on local charts. Using psychology within the songwriting, logos, music composition, marketing, merchandise and mostly during public relations.
5. I created an organic non-toxic line of garden products so safe that non-allergic children and animals can bathe in and drink without adverse effects. Safety and Lab test have all succeeded. Gentle enough for orchids but kills mold, bugs and fungus.
6. After Hurricane Katrina and the Japanese Tsunami, I edited and added sections to the Disaster Protocol handbook for San Luis Obispo, Ca.. along with that, In a disaster the county can be and has been cut in two with no access to the other side. I pushed and succeed for a second barge of supplies (had to be acquired on donations) on the Santa Barbara end. (El Diablo Nuclear Plant is in this County)
7. I created contracts between local stores as well as with the marine science institute to donate food product as well as receiving live cows and hogs as food donation from local ranches. I contracted with a local butcher at family owned store for free butchering of donated animals.
