Techniques Eric Josue Ishimwe Uses:

Yes, being at the top of the organization with no oversight can be challenging for new arrival. When I first began my career path, I ran into a few roadblocks, which I now consider learning opportunities that helped me excel in career development with limited oversight. I've worked in this setting since 2017, rising to the top from junior to senior, and I'm convinced that communication is the key to productivity. I worked tirelessly to close the gap between data quality and prompt delivery. To do so, I broke down long-term targets into short-term goals, which I tracked on a daily basis and evaluated against the overall objectives within a given timeline.

Eric Josue Ishimwe's Problem Solving Experience:

  1. When I shut my eyes and go back in time, the year 2018 haunts and excites me at the same time. That is when I hit the pinnacle of what I refer to as my social contribution. Youth, who make up the bulk of the population census, became the most disadvantaged on the job market, accounted for 71 percent of the unemployed. While technology has been shown to be the primary engine of economic transformation, 75 percent of young people remain unconnected. Throughout the year, I developed and launched 3 to 4 entrepreneurship initiatives to provide young people with digital and entrepreneurial skills. These programs were created to help entrepreneurs overcome the digital divide. By the time, I had mobilized volunteers, led campaigns, and engaged stakeholders to have an influence on over 2000 youth.
  2. As a budget analyst at Research Group Institute, I had the opportunity to develop a five-year budget rationale and conceptual structure for the Private Sector Federation Women Chamber which I have had the chance to practice in a variety of positions. It was initially difficult to attach expenses to main metrics that seemed to be well above the target cap. I have conducted independent research to assess the accuracy of the assumptions against similar programs and make necessary adjustments.
