As much as I value and appreciate good planning and structure, the beauty of life lies partly within its spontaneity. To let things flow and leave the sense of conformity and ego often leads to great ideas or solutions. I have been learning in many different fields due to spontaneous or profound interest. I love to absorb knowledge and spend hours on hours on research. Ever since I can remember I have had a very analytical mind and a feel for the science of deduction in social science as well as exact sciences.

Felix van Lottum's Problem Solving Experience:

  1. I have so far never failed into repairing or cleaning computer systems (software). As long as it is no hardware problem (which I also know how to deduct), I can most likely find a way to fix it. I have never studied this field but have always had a natural interest and understanding of the systems and interactions within these systems as a whole. It requires analytical and deduction skills to do this efficiently, which also reflect into other skillsets.
  2. I have found ways to make my life efficient and full of joy despite of having severe bipolar disorder and insomnia. I do not use medication but rather use psychological and buddhists techniques to assert control over the mind. On this road to finding insight to the self, I have learnt to see it in others and thus am often able to see or understand things others would not or simply do not want to see or think about.
  3. I have designed and developed all kinds of systems within game development, ranging from small to large, and simple to complex. Some examples: Player Controllers (client/server/proxy), Inventories and other data storage structures, (G)UI Programming and architecture design, Code optimisation and debugging, 2D and 3D environment programming, efficient OOP structures, and more that fits within game development and general programming.
