- There was a machine that had vertical product transfer down to a shaker bed. The connection between the valve above and the bed below was connected by a large sock that would rip after so many rotations of the shaker bed. I had a hat that sat .015 from the top of the shaker bed and allowed product to be transferred without ever needing a sock again.
