José Antonio Carrera Varela

José Antonio is the largest shareholder and CEO of WAI, a business group formed by six companies, five in Europe and one in the US. WAI is a private company dedicated to research and scientific and technological development providing technological and industrial services to companies and institutions focused on the recovery of non-hazardous waste, both organic and inorganic. Working as CEO of Waste´s Alchemy Ibérica (WAI) SL, José Antonio remains focused on the creation of new technological processes, the protection of intellectual and industrial property rights (patents, utility models), management know-how, planning, implementation and project management of technological developments, both at the laboratory and as industrial scale. He is responsible for negotiation and signing of collaboration agreements, finding business partners and the defense of the interests of WAI. The business group has grown as it has advanced in the development and protection of its own new and exclusive technology designed for the waste treatment industry. They are currently finalizing partnerships with large multinational companies to adapt technology developed on an industrial scale and implant it in their waste treatment centers, both urban and industrial.
