Joseph Akyeampong's Problem Solving Experience:
- 1. I have designed medical devices, ranging from nuerostimulation programming platforms to robots for knee and hip replacements for companies including Medtronic and Stryker.
2. I contributed to the design of GE-Hitachi's ESBWR nuclear power plant control room.
3. I designed and installed a 4.2 kWh PV solar home system.
4. I developed an augmented reality seating buck simulator for evaluating futuristic human-machine interfaces for excavators for my doctoral research.
5. I led a team to conduct an economic study of biodiesel production with heterogeneous catalysis at the EcoComplex Biodiesel plant in Catawba County, North Carolina.
6. I built an off-road vehicle (the Mini Baja) - an SAE student competition - in fulfillment of my undergraduate capstone project.
