Vehicle routing decision making is the problem that is usually faced by distributors in determining the best routes to deliver or collect goods. By using a good route, the company can save transportation cost drastically. It is considered as a complex problem because in real world problems, vehicle routing considers many things, such as time windows, types of vehicles, congestion, time-dependent, and so many more. In mathematical modelling terms, it is considered as a NP hard problem, which requires heuristic algorithm to obtain a good solution within a reasonable computation time.
I am interested in the mathematical modelling of any system, particularly logistics and production system, as well as the algorithm development for complex, real world problems.
