Areas Matt Sorenson is Knowledgeable in:
Civil Engineering, construction, environmental engineering, renewable energy, eco-efficient design, waste minimisation, whole system design
Techniques Matt Sorenson Uses:
I always looks for the simplest but most effective solution.
To do this, I immerse myself in a problem (e.g. Look from a range of angles / put myself in the shoes of the various stakeholders), then look for solutions that effectively solve the various sub-parts to the problem; always trying the simplest, neatest solution first and going from there.

Matt Sorenson's Problem Solving Experience:
- As part of my thesis at university I created an Excel based program that determined the Environment Life Cycle Impacts (i.e. Life cycle assessment) of complex civil infrastructure projects in Australia.
- I regularly manage and deliver large multidisciplinary engineering projects involving a large amount of collaboration and cooperation between many parties.
- I have designed many water pipelines, sewerage pipelines and roads alignments, which involve many constraints, many variables and both a technical and creative flair.
- I wrote a safety management system for a council in Australia for their quarry / mining department.
- I have managed/coordinated emergency works during a natural disaster event.
