I was involved in another research project on - ‘Decolourization of textile dyes (Malachite green & Methyl orange) using Kocuria rosea (5245)’ while pursuing Bachelor’s degree. The significant importance of this project is that biological processes are a viable alternative to chemical treatment of polluted water, and have received an increasing interest owing to their cost, effectiveness, ability to produce less sludge & environment benignity. The ubiquitous nature of bacteria makes them invaluable tools in effluent Biotreatment. This work carried out by me under the guidance my H.O.D. Prof. Uttam Bodake resulted in publishing of it at a National Level Research Project Conference.
