Mazda Biglari's Problem Solving Experience:
- I created online pools of questions and exams for different courses that my faculty teaching; therefore, they could easily use them as weekly quizzes and need not mark them by hand. Everything was online (exams and marking), easy and fast which encouraged students to be prepared continuously and the teachers to evaluate them more efficiently.
- I developed a Matlab/Excel application which read students information from their pdf transcription file every semester and sort them out in a way to be used for academic status and advancement by advisers.
- I created a process flow diagram (PFD) for the cooling water flowing through the chemical unit I used to work. It was done by walking through all the process areas to follow water lines and transferred the information as PFD and distributed among the team. It was not created before and the office was lacking it, making ambiguity.
