Mike De Butts's Problem Solving Experience:
- I designed and coded a series of inter-linked Google Sheets to run the stock department of a London Christmas tree company with several plantations, haulage companies, holding yards and >30 pop-up stores, so that each user's interface was as simple as possible, and yet the system's overview showed all areas requiring updated data, re-counts, or potential shortages.
- I designed and coded a timetabling system in Excel for a hire company, making use of all past hires to make efficient data entry, availability checking and timetabling easy.
- I designed and project managed countless large-scale scultpures for major events using SketchUp, and acquired expert skill and speed that I have since used for architecture and a range of 3D solutions.
- I designed and coded a user-friendly spreadsheet system in Excel that made quoting for a highly complex and configurable product easy with a minimum of training for new staff (ie fill in the next yellow box but double check anything that comes up red)
