Then iterating through again when the economics are way too much! Making adjustments to reduce capital and operating costs while not compromising essential features of the design in other words.

Nicholas Driscoll's Problem Solving Experience:
- I set up a testing strategy for radio telescope pieces to provide evidence that the telescope could last 50 years in the South African environment, which was successfully implemented.
- I and my group members developed a process for powering residential homes using a catalytic membrane reactor (fed with ethanol) and a hydrogen fuel cell coupled with a lithium battery bank. I worked on modelling the hydrogen fuel cell in Excel along with figuring out how the battery would work the fuel cell to supply power, including the control strategy and economics.
