- I spent 8 years in the military as a Missile Technician. We had to train to know how to fix hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and computer problems in the blink of an eye while being able to fight other casualties thrown at us, all to make our launch window and be able to get the Trident II D5 missile off the submarine and to it's target, 4000 NM away. I have also spent a good junk of the last 15 years either in the industrial maintenance or residential maintenance world having to come up with cost effective ideas and procedures to fix machinery, ranging from robotic apparatuses to conventional crockpots, and everything in between.
