Theft of powertools has always been a problem especially on-site, my idea is to install bluetooth ability to power tools controlling the power to unit [both mains and cordless tools]. Builders these days all carry mobile phones, these would be linked via bluetooth to the power tool so that if the phone and tool are not linked the power to the tool is disconnected rendering them useless to thieves, the tool moving out of range of the mobile phone while not in use would also alert the mobile owner of the tools removal making theft more difficult.
