The innovative Adaptable Carriage system allows train cars to switch automatically from passenger to cargo mode.Developed by 42 Technology, the Adaptable Carriage system can be retrofitted onto existing trains or incorporated in new designs. The system features a concept that allows carriages to be used for cargo during off-peak times via a forward-folding seat design for easier cleaning and sliding mechanism that arranges and locks the seats in place.
The fully-automated process can compress twenty rows of seats to create cargo space in less than three minutes.

Perhaps Mobility Vision (Jan-15-17) and Adaptable Carriage (May-18-17) could be put together? E-cars would be loaded during transport.
