Airblade Tap Dries Your Hands at the Sink

Airblade Tap Dries Your Hands at the Sink
Feb-08-13
A new hand drier from Dyson, creators of the Airblade, lets you dry your hands right at the tap.

Called the Airblade Tap, the touch-free device uses infrared sensors to detect the placement of the user’s hands, releasing either water from the center tap or two sheets of air from the branches to the tap’s sides. The key components of the Airblade Tap are stored under the sink, reducing clutter, and, since the drier is located right on the tap, less water is dripped on the floor because no one needs to leave the sink with wet hands. Drying time also takes only 12 seconds, compared to the average 43 seconds that some air driers require.

According to Dyson, damp hand spread 1000 times more bacteria than do dry hands.
