Apple Patent Describes Bendable Displays

Apple Patent Describes Bendable Displays
Nov-06-16
A new patent from Apple envisions creating bendable phones using carbon nanotube circuits.

The patent, filed in 2014 and recently awarded, describes using carbon nanotubes to create the signal paths in a flexible circuit—which could allow even the display to bend without damage. The device could be built to bend at a specific seam as well as multiple seams, and the technology could also be used to build non-standard shaped devices by creating circuits with a permanent bend.
