APRICOT Implant Relieves Joint Pain

APRICOT Implant Relieves Joint Pain
Jan-06-20
The innovative APRICOT implant offers a less invasive way to repair the damage caused to small joints by osteoarthritis.

The polymer-based implant, from a team at the University of Twente, is said to resemble a dried apricot and acts as a sort of pillow between the joints. The thin and self-lubricating material can be implanted using minimally invasive methods, and is suitable for patients of all ages.
