Developed for military and defense markets, the AR headset from BAE Systems is designed for extended use and harsh environments.The prototype headset features a full-color display and a compact and well-balanced frame built to meet military standards. Eyestrain is reduced thanks to an extended display focal length, while the headset increases situational awareness with its 40 by 30 degree field of view and see-through armor system support. The portable headset also allows officers to maintain a view of ship operations even while off the bridge, and an advanced head-tracking system ensures maps are accurately overlaid on the real world.

What about tear gas? One can always stop breathing temporarily but not close eyes.
