Bedside Flushable Toilet Eases Caretaker Duties, Adds Dignity
Sep-24-13
The Bedside Flushable Toilet from Toto aims to make life a bit easier for the disabled or elderly, as well a ease the burden on their caretakers.

The toilet is designed for use in homes or in care facilities, and can be used with a pipe as small as 20 mm wide, allowing it to be easily installed in smaller areas. When the toilet is flushed, the waste is macerated in a unit at the back and then pumped to a separate tank. The maceration of the waste is the key to the smaller pipe, and, because the toilet itself is not fixed in place, it can be moved closer to the bedside.

In addition to lessening the workloads of caregivers, the toilet will also help return a degree of dignity and comfort to the user.
