The mntGLO tent range is equipped with battery-powered LED lights that have been integrated into the tents' construction and can be operated by a simple switch—illuminating the tent and reducing the need to fumble in the dark.

Although LED-equipped tents are not new, the mntGLO line is an example of the progression of the technology. According to Big Agnes co-founder and president Bill Gamber, the company had been wanting to "integrate tents and lighting for a long time, but it wasn’t until now that the technology had progressed enough for us to provide an effective, lightweight solution with minimal cost increases.” The LEDs will be incorporated into a wide range of tents, even including the typically lightweight-focused backpacking tents—which also attests to Big Agnes's confidence in the technology.
