BioFloat Bike Seatpost Relieves Road Vibrations

BioFloat Bike Seatpost Relieves Road Vibrations
Nov-29-12
The BioFloat seatpost moves with the rider, providing a smoother ride by letting the seat flex with the rider’s pelvis.

Still in the development stage, the BioFloat is made up of a carbon fiber tube topped by a seat clamp held within a pair of flexible, clamshell-shaped elastomer inserts. The inserts isolate the seat, allowing it “float” and eliminate road vibrations, and the seat’s ability to tilt in all directions helps to relieve pressure points and friction. The amount of float in the seat can be adjusted to the rider’s preference by choosing between three sets of elastomers with varying degrees of flex.
