Bud Provides a Peek at the Stages of Pregnancy

Mar-10-15 The Bud smart pregnancy companion was created to ease some of the stress of pregnancy by letting expecting parents track the invisible progress of the baby inside the womb.

Designed by Vidhi Goel and Eliz Ayaydin as part of the MFA Products of Design Program, the Bud includes a digital measuring tape and small printer with a spool of colorful paper. As the expecting mother measures her growing stomach weekly, the Bud platform correlates the measurement to the stage of pregnancy and uses that information to bring in and print relevant data from trusted sources, such as Mayo Clinic Guide. The data, including important milestones, medical information and fun facts, are printed on the spool of paper that can be stored as a keepsake of the pregnancy.
