Building Walls from Textile Waste

Building Walls from Textile Waste
Sep-09-16
Interior wall panels made from recycled textiles could help reduce the amount of waste that ends in landfills each year.

The panels, being developed by a team from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, are made from waste fabric and threads that are bound together with natural hydraulic lime. Tests have shown that while the fabric-infused panels are lighter than conventional internal panels, they also offer more sound absorption and better insulation.
