Bring some spark into your next craft project with the Chibitronics stickers—peel-and-stick electronics that make it easy to add a working circuit to any sticker-friendly surface.
The Chibitronics kit is equipped with an array of sticker-backed components, including LEDs, sensor circuits (such as a microphone and timer) and a touch sensor that can be programmed as a microcontroller. The bits can be used with any conductible material to form a circuit (copper tape, conductive plastic and Z-conductive tape are included in the kit).
Created by Jie Qi, a PhD student at the MIT Media Lab and her partner, bunnie, the Director of Studio Kosagi and a hacker who designs and manufactures hardware, the Chibitronics were designed to educate and entertain. The pair sees the Chibitronics as a research project, and has set up a crowd funding page to determine how any kits to make, not to raise capital. (They have already vastly exceeded their funding goal of $1.)
