Clouds Observatory Cools the Air with Inflatable Pods

Clouds Observatory Cools the Air with Inflatable Pods
Oct-20-15
Meant to be installed on urban rooftops and terraces, the Clouds Observatory cools the outdoor temperature with an array of inflatable pods.

Created by Spanish architect Nina Gonzalez Vives, the Clouds Observatory consists of a series of inflatable pods that are deployed on the rooftop in order to provide shade and deflect heat. The pods’ shape also helps reduce water evaporation and heating and prevents heat from getting trapped in pavements and roofs.
