Cold Plasma Pen Destroys Cancer Cells

Aug-30-19 An innovative cold plasma technology able to remove all traces of tumors after surgery could help prevent cancer relapses.

The Canady Helios Cold Plasma System and Scalpel prototype was developed by researchers from US Medical Innovations LLC and the Jerome Canady Research Institute. The system consists of an electrosurgical, pen-shaped scalpel connected to a cold plasma generator that will release a blue jet of cold plasma. When directed at the target area, the plasma jet will destroy remaining cancerous tissue within seven minutes, without harming the surrounding healthy tissue. The technology has previously been proven in compassionate use trials, and had now been approved by the FDA for use in patient clinical trials.
