DermaPure Wound Bandage is Made of Human Skin

DermaPure Wound Bandage is Made of Human Skin
Jun-23-14
Now available in the U.S., the DermaPure wound care material is made of human skin, which provides an ideal scaffold for the patient's own, healing cells.

Developed by Tissue Regenix, the DermaPure material is made of donor skin that has been decellularized (removed of all skin cells and traces of DNA) using the company's dCell method. This process allows the basic structure of the extracellular matrix to remain, resulting in a scaffold the patient's own cells can attach to for faster healing. The material does not need to be refrigerated or rehydrated and can be performed on an outpatient basis, allowing it to be used in a variety of clinical settings.
