Direct to Object Inkjet Printer Can Replace Labels

Direct to Object Inkjet Printer Can Replace Labels
Sep-03-16
Xerox’s new Direct to Object Inkjet Printer can print on just about any object, eliminating the need for labels and making it easier to personalize products.

The $145,000 Direct to Object Inkjet Printer was created primarily with retailers in mind, who can use the device to print logos or branding on their products in just 90 seconds. The printer takes advantage of a specially created algorithm that controls the microscopic nozzles, which are positioned one-quarter inch away from the object to be printed. The Direct to Object Inkjet Printer can print on objects as small as a thermos and as large as a football helmet, and can be scaled for production.
