E Ink Prism Programmable Wallpaper

Jan-09-15 E Ink's new Prism material lets the user create dynamic wallpaper and animated displays with the push of a button.

Using much of the the same technology found the company's E Ink displays, the Prism is made up of large sheets of film about 12 x 12 inches and is intended for design and architectural use. The color-changing sheets can be applied to walls, ceilings and doors, where they can be used as a navigational aid as well as provide a dynamic decorative touch. According to the company, the Prism display requires very little power, is fully programmable and is rugged enough to withstand the impacts and scrapes of everyday use.
