ECLIPS System Streamlines Coat Check Stations

ECLIPS System Streamlines Coat Check Stations
Jan-01-14
The ECLIPS system was created to help speed the process of recovering a coat from coat check by making it easier for the coat checker to find it.

The concept system, designed by Cooper Union student Alyssa Davis, addresses the two issues that slow down coat check lines: lost claim tickets and the time it takes the attendant to locate the coat. She replaced the ticket with an invisible ink stamp that can be read under UV light, eliminating the risk of lost tickets, and created a clip-on tag with a blinking light, which will flash to help catch the checker’s attention when the associated ticket number is entered into the system.

You should be looking at wider usages, storage retrieval in warehoused. and a host more applications don't lose them to someone else. Keep the garment retrieval system but side step into greater issues, where you dont need the stamp but just for storage retrieval such as a shoe shop. At the desk you ask for a size 9 in a certain style, the girl types it in, back in the store the number lights up storekeeper picks up item and brings it out to the desk, saving time.
