Edible TruTags Combat Drug Counterfeiting

The FDA-approved tags are made of the highest purity silica, which allows them to be edible and practically invisible. The nanopore structure of each tag is different, containing a unique code that can only be read by scanning the tag with one of the company’s proprietary optical readers, and millions of different codes are available. Besides simply guaranteeing authenticity, the code can carry a range of information, including batch number, plant location, and country of sale, and the tags can be used on goods other than medications.
