EIO Microgrid Manages Military Power

May-15-15 The Energy Informed Operations microgrid was designed to manage the power supplied to units during field operations and cut down on waste.

Many military field operations take place in remote or unstable areas, requiring the teams to bring their own power grid. And as military technology evolves, the energy needed to power the devices has increased. In order to more efficiently manage the power systems, the EIO microgrid will monitor and adapt to changing power demands during the day, such as triggering a second generator to kick on during early morning activities in order to share the load.

In tests, the EIO was able to support 24-hour operations for both night and day needs.
