EsoGlove Offers At-Home Hand Therapy

EsoGlove Offers At-Home Hand Therapy
Jan-13-16
The EsoGlove robotic glove is both comfortable and portable, allowing patients to carry out hand rehabilitation exercises at home.

Created by a team from the National University of Singapore, the glove is made up of fabric that has been embedded with soft actuators. The glove itself connects to a pump that controls the actuators by altering the air pressure along the finger lengths. As the glove’s sensors detect the electrical signals generated by the patient’s hand muscles, the soft actuators will conform to the natural movements of the hand and provide a gentle assist.
