The ultra-portable Evapolar air conditioner cools, humidifies and purifies the air with some help from a nanomaterial developed for the Russian military.
In contract to typical desktop air purifiers, the Evapolar is effective in larger spaces, and is 12 times more efficient than a traditional air conditioner. The toaster-sized unit runs off standard house power, and its 24 ounce water reservoir contains enough liquid for up to eight hours of cooling.
The Evapolar gets its air purifying boost from an evaporative nanomaterial based on basalt fibers, which has been used for some time in the industrial air conditioners in the Moscow subways.
