Fire Fighting Robotic Tank

Fire Fighting Robotic Tank
Oct-07-12
The Thermite fire-fighting robot helps firefighters battle blazes in extremely hazardous or remote areas.

Based on US Army technology, the remote controlled robot sits on a set of tank treads and can be operated from a quarter of a mile away. At only 74 inches long and 55 inches high, it was designed to be small enough to navigate through small spaces while also being easily transportable. Among other equipment, the Thermite carries a pump-backed multi-directional nozzle able to spray 600 gallons of water per minute. It can also be fitted with other tools, such as cameras, robotic arms for moving debris or can even be configured as small bulldozer.
