Flow Health Hub Brings the Lab Home

Oct-11-14 The Flow Health Hub takes self-diagnosis and health monitoring a bit further by bringing a functioning lab into the home.

The concept device, presented by Cambridge Consultants, would use existing microfluidic technology to perform an array of standard tests. It would consist of the main unit, which is equipped with a display screen for the results, and a set of disposable cartridges. Each cartridge would be assigned to a specific test, requiring only that the user place the sample in the correct cartridge, insert it in the device and read the results on screen. The results would be available within minutes, and the simplicity of the system would make it easier for users keep better track of their health and fitness levels.
