Fluxmedicare Optical Fabric Treats Skin Conditions

Fluxmedicare Optical Fabric Treats Skin Conditions
Feb-27-18
The innovative Fluxmedicare device promises to treat acne and other skin conditions via a network of optical fibers woven into the fabric.

Developed by a team from Texinov Medical Textiles in France, the wearable laser fabric works in conjunction with a photosensitizer cream that is smoothed onto the area to be treated. After the cream has been applied, the fabric is wrapped around the skin, where the optical fibers accelerate the reaction between oxygen and photosensitizer cream beneath the skin.

According to the team, the Fluxmedicare delivers a consistent and balanced light that reduces the risk of pain and redness while also using the light more efficiently.
